I finished this book (per recommendation from Matt Mikalatos) a while ago and Jody just finished it tonight. We both agree its not like anything we've ever read. It's got magicians, pirates, secret service, lions and more! It's a great summer time read.

Hooray! I am so glad to have other people read this book. I'm glad that you like it. I just got my copy back from my Dad this summer and I am debating reading it again. Hmmmm.
How did you like the Good German?
The Good German was good...to many swear words at times and kind of depressing but I like anything related to WWII. I also read the Napaleon of Notting Hill...another strange book, yet it made me laugh out loud a couple of times. The King in that book kind of reminds me of you..."You must call me master!" I enjoyed it.
Krista and I don't remember any swear words in "the Good German." But we don't speak German, either. Sorry about that.
