Carter beat the devil

I finished this book (per recommendation from Matt Mikalatos) a while ago and Jody just finished it tonight. We both agree its not like anything we've ever read. It's got magicians, pirates, secret service, lions and more! It's a great summer time read.

Home again!

There's nothing like coming home after being gone for 6 weeks! Oh the joy of my own bed, my own bathroom, my own couch, my own neighborhood, and....I could go on and on.

We drove all the way home on Monday...15 hours! I saw a temperature sign somewhere in northern Nevada that said 106 degrees.

Long time coming...

It's taking me a long time to update this, partly because we've been busy running the Lake Tahoe summer project but also because the internet service here is kind of spotty. I know, I know...that no excuse. If I was a true blogger I would find a way to get my witty remarks and humorous pictures up here. Please forgive me...To & Fro Man apparently can't multitask all that well.

Just to tide you over for a bit, here's a picture from an 18 mile hike that all the staff men did last weekend. We're so tough!
