Men's Retreat

Last weekend 40 guys gathered to pursue the Lord and shoot guns. I learned a ton about holiness and brokenness. I also am beginning to believe God for something huge on campus....Isaiah 64...look it up.

Big break Croatia '06

Two weeks from tomorrow I leave for Croatia along with a team of staff and students from MSU. I'm pumped to meet up with the Stinters, and give more people a taste of what ministry is like there. Please pray for the Stint team as they continue to wrestle through strange Visa situations that might not allow them to finish out the year there. Pray that they are still there when we show up! For more info check out MSU alum Pete Zagorda's blog.

It has also been brought to my attention that I'm a bit decieving with the pictures below. The frozen car is not a local picture...I may have gotten all those pictures off internet somewhere.

I feel like I'm on stint in Siberia.

Alright now it's just plain riciculous outside...it's supposed to be -30 tonight!!!

Maybe I should invest in one of these...

Or maybe I'll invest in some camoflauge insulated coveralls to wear around campus...

Its ffffrreeeezin outside.

Tonight its supposed to be about -15 and -30 if you add the wind chill. Tomorrow by noon it will be up to -10 and then the high of the day is supposed to be a whopping -8!!!! Good times in Montana. For a little Montana culture check out this article in the paper.

'misrepresented'

Stay tuned for details about our campus-wide outreach coming up in April. It's called 'misrepresented." Meaning we have done a bad job representing the truth about Jesus Christ and for that we're sorry.

The details are coming together...picture this: quasi-confession booths (but with a twist), t-shirts to start conversations, a large elephant (not a real one) in the middle of campus to write questions on, and the largest outdoor gathering (1000 people) we've ever seen on campus with humble answers to questions and the Gospel presented. Picture people who have never considered the love of Jesus Christ because of our silly little Christian culture and nuances, giving Christ and long hard look and thought.

Pray, pray, pray.

MSU webcam...

If you click on this link at 10:45 on Monday morning you'll see me waving at you from just to the left side of Montana Hall. The big building you first see. That is unless I forget or something.

Are we measuring the wrong thing in our ministries?

This is an interesting post by one of our national directors. The part that was the most interesting to me is the few comments about measuring our spiritual multipliers rather than the size of our meetings. I think I agree with it, although there are a lot of definitions of spiritual multipliers.

Jack Black is sooo cool...walmart has cheap stuff.

Cool new movie preview, and proof Walmart is taking over the world!

Superbowl scam!

Seahawks didn't play particularly well, but they were robbed. Come on... Matt Hasselbeck flagged for a low block when he tackled the ball carrier, a holding call that wasn't a holding call and an offensive pass interference that was a ticky-tack touch foul!!! It was inexplicable. Oh and a touchdown by the Steelers that was to close to call... if the on-field call would have been down at the 1 it would not have been overturned in favor of a touchdown.

Its madness I tell you.

Picture in my sidebar

I just spent about 2 hours trying to figure out how to be a cool blogger (i.e. Matt Mikalatos) and put pictures in the sidebar of books that I'm reading. Aaahhh the trendy force has overcome me.

I need a nap...do you?

For all you power nappers out there, this is a little something special for you.
